Furniture assembly

We assemble and install furniture you have bought yourself, including kitchens and wardrobes, and if needed we dismantle and move your old furniture.

Shop-bought furniture is designed to be assembled at home, but the instructions do not allow for uneven walls, sloping floors or the fact that tall cupboards need fixing to the wall. We assemble, level and fix a kitchen, wardrobe or chest of drawers so that it stands firm and the doors and drawers close straight. We also install the furniture we make ourselves.

With shop-bought kitchens, we assemble the units, hang the wall cabinets, fit the worktop to the actual measurements and cut the openings for the sink and hob. By arrangement, we can dismantle and move your old furniture, and we also install shop fittings, such as shelving and counters in retail premises.

What we pay attention to

01

Fixing to the wall

Tall cupboards, shelves and wall units need to be fixed to the wall so they do not tip over or pull away. We choose screws and anchors to suit the wall, as brick, concrete and plasterboard all need different fixings. On plasterboard walls, we first locate the studs or reinforcement.

02

Levelling and adjustment

Once the furniture is in place, we level it with a spirit level and adjust the hinges, drawer runners and sliding doors. Even a slightly tilted cupboard can make doors swing open by themselves or leave uneven gaps between fronts, so this step matters as much as the assembly itself.

03

Preparing for installation

Before we arrive, the room should be clear and accessible, with all the packages gathered in one place. For kitchens, the water and electrical connections should already be in position. If we are delivering the furniture, we agree in advance on access, which floor it goes to and whether there is a lift.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you assemble furniture we bought in a shop?

Yes. We assemble and install shop-bought furniture, from single cupboards to a complete kitchen. Let us know in advance which pieces are involved, or send us a list, so that we can estimate the scope of the work. Call 031 882 452 or e-mail info@kosecinterier.si.

Do you also connect kitchen appliances?

Kitchen assembly and connection can be arranged. What the connection includes, such as the sink, dishwasher or hob, depends on the existing connections, so we check this before installation. Any new electrical wiring needs an electrician.

Can you dismantle and take away old furniture?

We can dismantle old furniture before installing the new. Transport is agreed separately, depending on the amount and where the furniture needs to go. We can sort out the details by phone on 031 882 452 or by e-mail at info@kosecinterier.si.
