Bathroom furniture made to measure

We make vanity units, tall cabinets and shelves to the measurements of your bathroom, in materials that cope with humidity.

Bathrooms are often small and irregular, with pipes running exactly where a cabinet would otherwise go. Made-to-measure furniture adapts to these constraints: we build the vanity unit around the drain and trap, set a tall cabinet into the recess beside the bath and work a sloping ceiling or a pillar into the shape of the unit.

Because a bathroom has a lot of moisture and changes in temperature, we choose materials and finishes specifically for these conditions. A bathroom set can be coordinated with the worktop, mirror and lighting so the room looks orderly. Before we start, it helps if the basin and tap have already been chosen, because they affect the size of the unit.

What we pay attention to

01

Protection against moisture

Moisture-resistant boards are suitable for the carcasses, and we give extra protection to edges and pipe cut-outs, because that is where moisture most easily gets into a board. We protect wooden surfaces with lacquer or oil for damp rooms. Even so, the bathroom should be aired regularly, as constant condensation harms any material.

02

Wall-hung or floor-standing

A wall-hung vanity unit leaves the floor clear, which makes cleaning easier and helps a small bathroom feel more open. It needs a solid wall or a support frame in the wall. A floor-standing unit on legs is the better choice where the wall cannot take the weight or where you want more storage.

03

Storage in a small bathroom

In a small bathroom, drawers are easier to keep track of than deep shelves, because you do not have to search at the back. A shallow tall cabinet by the door holds towels and cleaning products, and the space above the washing machine can take a closed cabinet to keep detergents out of sight.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can you make a vanity unit for a basin I already have?

Yes. We need the dimensions of the basin, the position of the drain and tap, and whether the basin sits on top of the counter or is set into it. We make the unit to these measurements, leaving room for the trap. You can send measurements and photos to info@kosecinterier.si.

Should I order bathroom furniture before the renovation?

If you are renovating the bathroom, it is best to prepare the plan before tiling, so that the water and drain connections end up in the right places. We take the final measurements once the tiles are laid, because the adhesive and tiles make the space slightly smaller.

How much does made-to-measure bathroom furniture cost?

The price depends on the number and size of the units, the material chosen and whether you want drawers or doors. Once we know the dimensions of the bathroom and what you would like, we prepare a quote. Call 031 882 452 or e-mail info@kosecinterier.si.
